YES, this is our commitment to you regarding Privacy! However it goes a lot further than just the industry standard privacy statement above.

“My Privacy is a really big concern because I’m the

(… intentionally blank because we guard his privacy and

 you would recognize him…)”!

This is a GIANT CONCERN for this practice, the same as it is for you.  We humans are all fearful of many things. It’s a fact that more people are afraid of speaking in front of a group than of dying. We think that right up there with these fears should be the fear that someone may see us going to the Psychiatrist !.....after all, what’s wrong with him?....you never know when he’s going postal…..I always thought that she was a little off…..do you know that nice couple we met at church last week?......and on and on.

Here’s the point, We’re all humans, We All have weaknesses, We all have problems, We all could use a little help. Some the definition of insanity is to continue doing the same thing again and again and expect different results!  Could the same be said for knowing that highly qualified professional help is available and refusing to utilize that resource for some petty reason? (money, privacy, pride, etc)?

So, back to the privacy issue: there are many things done in Dr. Anges’ office to insure your absolute privacy and confidentiality. This is a list of a few:

ü      The Law is very specific about the general lack of easy access to psychiatric records, almost like the attorney-client privilege. It’s good to have the Law on your side once in a while!

ü      The offices are discretely located in medical or office parks or other professional buildings.

ü      In certain situations, we can come to you or will arrange to meet you in a neutral or business location.

ü      Our offices are minutes from airports, transportation can easily be arranged.

ü      You will be greeted by first name only.

ü      You can use our private entrance in the South office and even avoid the ‘waiting room’.

ü      There is no ‘sign-in list’ kept at the front window.

ü      No information has to be given to anyone unless you request us to do so in writing in advance.

ü      We will not even confirm you are a patient unless we have a current written release on file.

ü      We only speak to pharmacies with accurate caller-id.

ü      You must file your own insurance claim if you so desire.

ü      All electronics are secured thru PGP encryptination behind Cisco firewalled and encrypted data tunnels.

ü      Actually, all our charting is handwritten and manually filed the ‘old-fashioned’ way with each visit. Granted, this is not the most cost effective way to administer this part of the business, and it does require us to have some ala-cart-pricing, but, the privacy tradeoffs are well worth it.

ü      Likewise, when you give us your credit card number we write it down, run the card, mail you the receipt, and cross-shred the written record before we leave every day.

ü      The Drs’ name never appears on envelopes mailed to your home.

ü      Your appointment reminder sticker only has your appointment time and date on it.

ü      We do not call you for ‘appointment reminders’ unless you request us to call you.

ü      We do not communicate with employers or schools unless you so request in writing in advance.

ü      We do have an overpopulation of patients named Smith and Jones, since we do not collect information for insurance companies.

ü      Finally, we accept: Cash: local Checks, Visa, Master and Discover Cards: and payments@DoctorAnge.com accepts all electronic payments including PayPal.

But WAIT, there is a lot more that is done behind the scenes
